Marina Antonova Albouy



Marina Antonova Albouy graduated from the Voronezh Ballet Academy in Russia in 1986.

She started her career at the Donetsk Opera Ballet Theatre (Ukraine).

After receiving the Silver Medal in the senior division and Best Couple Award at the USA International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi in 1994, Marina was invited to share her talent with many international ballet companies around the world as Principal Artist and/or as International Guest Artist: Richmond Ballet, Arlington Ballet, Tulsa Ballet (USA); Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Theater Krefeld Monchengladbach, Aalto Ballet Theater Essen, Ballet Staatstheater Bremerhaven, Mainfranken Theater Wurzburg, Theater Dortmund, Leipziger Ballet (Germany);  Companhia Nacional Bailado (Portugal); Estonian National Ballet; Slovenian National Ballet; Opera de Nice (France), Queensland Ballet (Australia) … and others.

In addition to dancing the major roles from the classical repertoire, Marina has always looked to make her dancing career artistically richer and versatile.
Marina worked and danced different styles of choreography from, among others, A. Bournonville, G. Balanchine, F. Ashton, J. Cranko, J. Limon, J. Batler, A. De Mille, A. Tudor, K. Jooss, V. Nebrada, E.Walter, J. Neumeier, H.V. Manen, U. Scholz, H. Spoerli, N. Christe, V. Caniparoli, C. Bruce, Y. Vamos, M. Burn.

Marina has participated in numerous Ballet Galas and Dance Festivals worldwide and has also been jury member at many international ballet and dance competitions.

In 2008, Marina founded and organised, together with her husband Guy Albouy, the “M&G International Ballet Summer School” in Dresden, Germany, which offers one of the best summer ballet/dance education programmes worldwide.

After a successful 23-year dancing career, Marina completed her Pedagogical Education at the Vaganova Ballet Academy (Russia) in 2009 before joining the Palucca University of Dance Dresden as Ballet Professor.

Since 2014, Marina has been teaching and sharing her knowledge with the “Royal Swedish Ballet School” students in Stockholm, for which she has also choregraphed various pieces.

Marina joined the Mosa Ballet School as Ballet Teacher in 2022.
