Piotr Nardelli

Born in Poland, Piotr graduated from the National Ballet School in Warsaw. He began his career as a soloist with the Polish National Ballet. After moving to West Europe, his first engagement was in Marseille where he worked with Rosella Hightower and Roland Petit. He then joined the Royal Swedish Ballet for a season. In 1973, he moved to Brussels and joined the Ballet du XXème siècle of Maurice Béjart, with whom he worked closely together. At this time, Mr. Nardelli gradually turned to teaching. From 1973 onwards, he danced in numerous creations by the master Béjart, including "Petrouchka" and the famous "Boléro". In 1975, Maurice Béjart entrusted him with the difficult task of reassembling his creations, starting with "Bolero" danced by Maia Plissetskaia at the Bolshoi.

Subsequently, as an integral part of the Mudra School in Brussels and a teacher at the Ballet du XXème siècle, he was entrusted with the staging of "Petrouchka" and "Gaité Parisienne" for companies such as the Stuttgart Ballet, the Australian Ballet, and the Royal Danish Ballet. In 1996, he assisted Maurice Béjart in the staging of the "9th Symphony" danced by the Paris Opera Ballet and again in Tokyo in 2000.

In parallel to this brilliant career, he created, with Andrzej Ziemski, the "Balletomania" ballet school in Brussels, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2009. As a guest teacher, Piotr has been invited by many international companies, and for more than 20 years, he has participated in numerous workshops in Europe, the USA, and Japan.

Over the years, he has continued to teach, produce ballets, and collaborate with various companies, including Ballet National de Montréal, Rome Opera, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Warsaw Opera, Finnish National Ballet, The Tokyo Ballet, and many others. In 2019, he began a collaboration with the Bolshoi Theatre for a revival of Maurice Béjart's ballet "La Gaîté Parisienne", and in 2021, he worked on the production of "Bolero" in Mexico City..
